Position Summary:

The Kids Zone Attendant plays an important role in providing quality childcare for children ages 3 months to 10 years while parents utilize the YMCA facility. Under the guidance of the  Youth Development Manager, the Kids Zone Attendant ensures children are safe, engaged, and having fun in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision and care for children ages 3 months to 10 years.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized Kids Zone environment.
• Ensure toys, equipment, and supplies are clean, organized, and in good condition.

The Site Director is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and supervision of the After School Program, with the support and guidance of the Family Services Director,  he/she serves as the leader of a team of people with the goal of providing excellent after school care for school aged children (K-5^th grade).  It is his/her responsibility to make sure that YMCA standards and procedures as well as those of the Department of Children and Families are followed.  He/she will supervise Program Counselors and will make regular reports to the Family Services Director.

This position is part-time with potential for full time hours for the right candidate.  Applicant must be available Monday-Friday, be 21 years old or older, and have reliable transportation.

13. Keep the Family Services Director informed of all program issues as they arise especially when related to the children’s behavior and development

• Run daily financial reports to review payments for correct amount and correct programs/pros.  Send corrections as needed to the Tennis Coordinator.

• Register into a member’s Daxko account if they have attended a lesson or clinic.  Add any clarifying notes in the alert section explaining the charge so that membership staff and the member are aware of when payment is due.  Send a courteous email to the member reminding them of fees due.

• Check non-member payments for court rentals or round robin fees.

• Ensure accurate information is in Daxko; assist tennis and pickleball pros with completion of mandatory reports required by the CEO.

• Check tennis and pickleball court reservations and make sure courts are reserved for the pros.

• Verify round robins, tennis clinics, summer camps, quick start programs, and USTA teams with court times when on shift.

• Answer inquiries from members and non-members about tennis and pickleball programs.

• Give tours of tennis and pickleball facilities.

• Walk courts early in the morning before play begins.  Check the height (36”) and condition of tennis nets on a weekly basis.  Report to all necessary staff any court conditions that need attention.  Check that the courts are receiving adequate watering.

• Check the veranda/building for cleanliness.  Replace water cups as necessary.  Tidy up chairs and tables.  Have maintenance empty trash as needed.

• Sweep and line courts when needed.

The Group Fitness Instructor position supports the work of the YMCA of Collier County, Inc., a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengthening the communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.  This position delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants.  Responds to member and guest needs, promotes memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the welcome center and fitness floor.  Instructs group fitness classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational classes to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.

• Asks and answers questions from class participants and members to support them in achieving their goals related to health and well-being. 

• Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members. 

• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members and class participants connect with each other and the YMCA. 

• Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants’ capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture. 

• Celebrates achievement of class participants related to class or personal goals, mastering of specific skills or overall health and well-being. 

• Create a positive environment where everyone feels welcome, encourage, and motivate others to become more involved in the YMCA. Greet and interact with members in a friendly manner. 

• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants at the YMCA.
